. . . Historically,
the primary reason to instill fear in a people has been to control them.
To keep them in the dark about why their lives are difficult. People cannot
be allowed to know that scarcity & poverty are willfully created &
sustained. Despite the burgeoning global population, despite the huge
number of starving, homeless & sick people on the planet, there exist
the resources to feed, house & treat all of them many times over.
But a small handful of corporations have concentrated the resources of
the planet in such a way that their extreme wealth ensures the continued
existence of shortages. When your leader tells you to fear an enemy you
probably have more in common with than you do with your leader, its
time for door number two. . . . .
